Free Event - South Tawton

Free Computer Awareness Events At South Tawton

In all, about 15 people attended these free events. They aimed to equip people with the knowledge and skills necessary to choose / purchase a new computer and to get online. I covered a number of topics including :

What a computer is
What people commonly use a computer for (and how)
What equipment is needed and what are the choices - possible costs
What software is and about all the sources of great free software
What you need to know about getting online and ordering a broadband service
Staying safe online

Feedback was very good. I am confident that, as a result, some of the people who attended will get online in the near future.

If anyone else would like me to provide one of these events in their local area or would just like to find out more about them, please do contact me - viv@dartmoor-it.co.uk.

I attended this and found it very informative, run in a gentle and informal way. If anyone wanted computer awareness event such as this, I would have no hesitation in recommending Viv.
